Six continents and just about had it...

WWW7 shoesThese shoes have walked, bussed, trained, canoed, feluccad, ferried and flown over six continents. If (when) I go to Antarctica I will take them with me just so I can get all seven.

I bought them in Singapore with some misgivings. They weren't exactly what I wanted but, boy, am I glad I got them now. I bought another similar pair in Singapore the last time I was there. Same shop. Similar shoes. I would recommend them to anyone.

On our year long trip around the world I had two pairs of shoes. These ones and a pair of thongs or flip flops for warm weather and showers. The thongs died in Egypt but luckily the Egyptian are big thong wearers and I was able to replace them. The shoes however lasted all the way back to Australia.

treadSo its fair to say that the tread has trod on a lot of different and interesting bits of the world including getting lost in the Sahara, trekking through the Amazon rain forest and walking through Christmas snow to see the bears in the castle moat and then on to the Shotlova for a dark beer in Cesky Krumlov.

I love these shoes, even though they're not that comfortable any more. Towards the end the inner lining wore out all the way through to the plastic substructure. They did well though. They did very well.
